LATONIA TRAINING MOVES I More Than Two Hundred Horses Worked Out Over Milldale Course — Playtime Gallops. LATONIA, Ky., June 3.— With slightly 7 Jnore than four weeks remaining before the opening of the thirty-one day meeting at La-tonia, ■ June 27, training activities have increased during the last several days. There , were more than two hundred horses on the track this morning and some fast moves were recorded. One that came in for considerable attention was the Southland Stables Playtime. The son of My Play and Nell Wilder, which I Johnny Daniels is preparing for his Independence Handicap engagement, was galloped four furlongs and, beginning from the S half mile post, he breezed to the stand in i 1:52. Daniels was forced to call on one of f his stoutest exercise boys for fear that the New Years Handicap winner might go too Jfast. The veteran Simpson was astride and 1 he was forced to his utmost to restrain the ; colt. Wise Talk, which Jack Weaver is training for W. E. Smith, was asked for his first display I of speed since he returned to training I and the colt went an easy quarter in :28. Weaver is going along slowly with the son ! of Wise Counsellor, but hopes to have him Feady for his Cincinnati Trophy engagement. After giving his charges a let-up, Smith i Baker will start galloping the eight he is 3 training for Col. R. L. Baker Wednesday, while Cliff Porter expects to send the four he has to the track Wednesday.
