The latter worked his way up next to the rail in the last half of the race and finished gamely. PARTICIPATE steadily improved his position, but could not get up. DASHAWAY showed early speed, but tired. MAC FOGLE closed much ground. PAQUETTE acted badly at the post. SADDLE SKIRTS began slowly and could not get up. The latter held on courageously after setting the early pace. MOLERITO steadily improved his position, came fast after rounding the far turn, and was best of the others. JACK BERRY was badly crowded back after the start, came again and closed a wide gap. TITLE OAK ran an even race. SWEEP-NET suffered early interference and closed much ground.
