PLAN CHARITY DAY JANUARY 24 NEW ORLEANS, La., Jan. 12. A pro-i gram of racing with all receipts, minus ,400 in purse money, going to the New. Orleans Welfare Association, probably will be held at Jefferson Park, Sunday, January 24, the day following the close of the meeting. The charity project has been under consideration for several weeks and formal announcement of the welfare societys intentions of going through with the proposition is expected tomorrow when the welfare committee will meet with officers of the Jefferson Parish Fair, which owns the Jefr ferson Park plant. The welfare association directs relief among the needy unemployed of the Crescent City.
