x r -- -" ----- Another Postponement at Agua Caliente i AGUA CALIENTE, Mexico, Feb. 16. An unprecedented amount of rainfall in 1 Southern California brought another postponement of Agua Caliente racing today. With rivers flooded, highways and railroad beds threatened, president James N. Crofton decided to halt activities at the Agua Caliente course until Friday, February 19. "In view of weather conditions, postponement of racing was necessary," Crofton said. "Highways between San Diego and the border are covered by high water at several points, with the lower road blocked. The traffic bridge across the Tijuana river is under guard and only a few cars are allowed to cross at a time. Railroad officials also informed me that rising waters endangered a culvert and bridge on the main transportation line south. Roadways between San Diego and Los Angeles may be blocked at any hour. The race course itself withstood the flood in splendid shape. Under existing circumstances nothing is left for us to do but postpone." Horsemen were notified early today that the race meeting is off until Friday, i Then the sport will be resumed with a continuous run of ten days, including Monday, Washingtons birthday. .
