DEXTRO, close up from the start and under restraint for five-eighths, was forced back near the far turn and, going around BRIGHT KNOT entering the stretch, wore down ADSUM and drew away. The latter, rushed into the lead on the far turn, drew clear before reaching the closing quarter and held on gamely in the drive. BRIGHT KNOT showed speed, but dropped back suddenly entering the final quarter. CHARLIE BILLS raced evenly. PENN had no mishaps. WORLDLY LAD did not threaten. PALDOMAR and DISTANT DRUM showed early speed. The latter showed speed and, under strong restraint tor seven-eighths, responded well in the stretch, but could not overhaul the winner. JACK BERRY bore out badly after the first turn, but saved ground and held on well in the late stages. RUBBERNECK had no mishaps. BABBLE tired in the closing quarter. HERENDEEN failed to respond to urging. BURGOO began fast, maintained a short advantage rounding the turn, but swerved and forced OUTER HARBOR back entering the stretch and, drawing clear, outlasted the latter, but was disqualified for fouling. OUTER HARBOR, always close up, was racing resolutely on the inside when impeded by BURGOO, but recovered quickly and withstood the drive gamely. PROMETHEUS saved much ground and closed, fastest of all. HONEYMAN showed speed, raced wide and tired in the stretch. GAILLARDIA was blocked on the stretch turn, but lacked speed when clear. AQUA VITAE tired. LAUGHING BOY lacked speed.
