I ST. JOHNS PARK TURF NOTES - C. R. Fleischmann, metropolitan sportsman, was an arrival from New York and will remain for the remainder of the meeting. Jockey Eddie Barnes reported sick Wednesday morning and cancelled his mounts for the day, which were Deerwood in the second race and Coots in the fifth. E. J. OHare, president of Sportsmans Park, has wired R. S. Shelley here, to advise horsemen that the Chicago course will not be affected by the half-mile edict issued by The Jockey Club. The track is ready for use now and 550 horses can be accommodated.
