TANFORAN PLANNING SPECIAL SAN BRUNO, Calif., March 23. Officials of the Tanforan track are endeavoring to arrange a special 5,000 race to bo run during the spring meeting, which opens March 31, the starters to Include the Australian champion, Phar Lap, winner last Sunday of the Agua Callento Handicap. Pliar Lap has been transferred from the Mexican track to H. H. Cottons ranch at San Clemente, for a brief rest. After Phar Laps sensational performance last Sunday, owner D. J. Davis indicated that ho might start the gelding at Tanforan. i
