MARYLANDS RACING REVENUE BALTIMORE, Md., March 23. The state of Maryland received a total of 97,382.62 from racing during the year 1931. This was a decrease in comparison to the figures of 1929 when 31,883.63 was received but an increase over the 67,812.02 of 1930. The total wagering in the mutuels on all Maryland tracks amounted to 7,090,905, a decrease of 43,771 over the figures of 1930. The four "charity days" yielded a sum of 25,707, which was turned over to the Citizens Relief Committee for distribution among the unemployed.
