BILLNORA, forced to race t.n the outside, closed gamely. DAY DREAMER showed a good performance. CCEAR KNIGHT tired fast. TREBOY raced evenlv. The others were outrun. PEACOCK, fencing well and taking command at once, was steadied along for the first mile and a half, shook off repeated challenges from VIRGINIA LIGHTNING and, holding on resolutely, had enough in reserve to withstand BANDIT. The latter, saved for a mile, moved up fast when hard urged. TEREUS, prominent throughout, closed gamely. BOLTON made up ground in the late stages. VIRGINIA LIGHTNING saved ground and fenced boldly, but tired in the closing half-mile. GOLDEN STAR II. was held safe throughout. KIM was never a factor. DISCOLORED was guided wide and lost ground. PARAMOUR, saved within striking distance of the leaders, came resolutely when urged and, coming through on the inside in the stretch, wore down BROWN PET under punishment. The latter sprinted into a good lead, saved ground and held on gamely. BOARD WALKER worked her way up on the outside, lost cround on the stretch turn, but finished gamely. LOVELAN, a slow starter, closed a gap. WORTHINGTON raced forwardly and had no mishaps. MAJOR LEE was outrun. REHOBOTH quit, as did CHLOEDAIR. SUNVIR, steadied in front, was hard ridden entering the stretch and held on well. PENDING, under restraint for three-quarters, finished gamely. COLOSSAL saved much ground. NEWSUN, forced to race wide from the start, was racing resolutely at the end. MISGUIDE could not menace the leaders. GARDEN MESSAGE was outrun all the way. SUBMARINE showed good speed for three-eighths. The others were never dangerous. FERVID, slow to settle in her stride, circled the others when moving into contention, took command midway of the turn into the stretch and, withstanding a hard drive, just lasted to withstand LOUIS MERRYMAN. The latter, an early trailer, improved his position rapidly and finished fast. PAS ENCORE raced TORTWAY into defeat while saving ground, but was unable to keep up. STEPPING SISTER, close up, saved ground early, but raced wide into the stretch. GLENSIDE could not get up. FELAXE met interference on the back stretch ROSEMARIE B. raced forwardly for five eighths.
