No More, star of the C. E. Davison string, slated to make his first start in some time in the May Blossoms Purse, feature of Fridays program at Exposition Park. He will be opposed by Burning Up, Butter Beans, Gold Step and other good ones over the five and one-half furlongs distance. While the attendance figures at Exposition Park are almost as large as last season, business in the mutuel department has shown a decrease, but, nevertheless, is up to the expectations of the management. Trieze, Exposition Park handicap performer of a few years back, made his first start in some time when he faced the barrier in a claiming race this afternoon. He is still owned by Lewis and Kemp, Kansas City sportsmen. Jockeys J. McCoy and C. King have been the riding stars of the opening days of the meeting, each lad having piloted five winners. McCoy is a veteran and King an apprentice. The "dogs" were up on the Aurora track again this morning and, as the horses were forced to work in the center of the track, poor time was made in exercise gallops. O. L. Foster is training the division of the H. M. Woolf string that is being campaigned at Exposition Park. Foster developed C. E. Allen, first string rider for the Woolf establishment. Jockey J. Lane, who recently started riding at Exposition Park, is not to be confused with jockey J. C. Lane, now riding at Tanforan. The former is under contract to C. A. Marrone, while J. C. Lane is under contract to C. A. McCroan. Dan Hickey will make the engagements of jockey J. Lane during the present meeting. The starter has ordered that Beauty Bride and Drury be placed on the outside in future, but they will not be allowed to start until their behavior is improved. Jockey L. Hendrick, who made his riding debut today, is under contract to R. Scoville. He weighs seventy-six pounds. Jockey L. Chanove, another light rider, also made his first appearance on a mile track this afternoon. He rode a few races at Kansas City last summer, but has never piloted a win. ner. He is under contract to J. Bainton.
