IREDELL, away in motion, showed good speed, maintained it impressively and was only lightly shaken up in the final eiehth. NORTH MILL, forced to lose much ground early, swerved to the inside entering the stretch and finished well. SUN GROS, shuffled back on the stretch turn, closed well. FLYING DS moved up fast when entering the stretch, but tired near the end. MY BLAZE raced wide and also tired near the end. CATWALK began slowly. YENNIE H. dropped out of it after racing prominently for thrce-cichths. GREG ORMONT showed early speed. KENTUCKY ACE met early interference, failed to rally when put to a drive and quit hudiy in the final eighth. NIATO, crowded back early, had speed, but was through after seven -eighths. DUELIST, in close quarters and impeded gome, to the first turn, quit after showing speed ior three quarters.
