Tweeny, the Qreentree Stables Kentucky Oaks candidate, worked a mile in 1:43%, well in hand and on a fast track here this morning. The Oaks, to be renewed on the closing day of the meeting, will attract such others as H. P. . Headleys Modern Queen, Mrs. John Marschs Princess Camelia, Dixianas Par-fait; A. B. Hancocks Light Eagle, Long- I ridge Stables Oscillation, J. W. Parrishs Depression, Albert Sabaths I Say, and others. The race, at one mile and an eighth, has an excellent chance to prove the most keenly contested and interesting in several runnings of the old fixture. C. C. Van Meters Red Whisk, probable favorite for the race, had his final serious training for the Bashford Manor, when he went a handy five-eighths in 1:02 this morn- j ing. The Bashford Manor will be decided at that distance and will feature Saturdays sport. In High, the Dixiana hope, rattled off five-eighths in 1:01, and several other probable starters were put through less ambitious moves.
