TULACH ARD raced BABOO into early defe.it, but could not withstand the rush of the winner. GRAND ACRE, a factor from the start, held on gamely. FAIR BOB, far lurk early, went wide for r.uim; mom and closed fast. LILLYBET was racing gamely at the end. TAHQUIN WM never d.mi.crous. BABOO quit badly. TREMENDOUS, away in the first flight and showing ability in the going, went to the middle of the track in the stretch and, wearing down LOUGH PORT, was under hard urging to withstand VENDACE. The latter, away slowly, showed good speed to reach the leaders and finished namely next to the rail. LOUGH PORT rated GRACE BLOTTER into defeat, then tired in the closing eighth. SNAPLOCK began slowlv, was forced very wide, but closed a big cap. GRACE BLOTTER and BLUE EMPEROR had no excuses. The latter gained a short lead at the fifteenth fence and continued gamely. KIM showed a good performance. GOLDEN STAR II. was held safe after two miles. ANNAPOLIS did not favor the going. CORAL REEF II. was racing well when he fell at the sixteenth obstacle, was remounted and completed the course. BOLTON was outrun. DISCOLORED was done after a mile. The latter worked her way up on the outside and came stoutly in the final d:ive. WORTHINGTON, well placed, came with nood energy when put to a stout drive. DON ROM1RO tired alter setting the pace for five eighths. GUIDE RIGHT worked his way up on the inside and was taken in behind horses during the stretch run. FLAMING MAMIE was unable to reach the leaders. KNIGHTS CAP and SOUTHTOUR quit.
