| TRAINER J. LOWE MAY LOSE j | SIGHT THROUGH ACCIDENT I BALTIMORE, Md., May 12.— John Lowe, trainer for Rear Admiral Cary T. Grayson and a division of the Audley Farm and Charlton Clay stables, was seriously injured in an automobile accident in Baltimore this morning when the car in which he was a passenger crashed into a safety signal beacon at Charles Street and University Paikway. The car was being driven by Mrs. H. Edna Gebhart of Sykesville, Md., and | both occupants were rendered unconscious. A passing taxi driver took the victims to the Union Memorial Hospital, where physicians stated that Mrs. Gebhart had suffered a fractured skull. Later information received from members of Mr. Lowes stable was to the effect that the injured trainer had suffered the loss of an eye and the possible loss of the sight of the other. Because of the peiious condition of both patients, police and hospital authorities were unable to get a description of how the accident occurred, beyond the knowledge that the car was driven by Mrs. Gebhart.
