• V 1 CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES ] 4 In addition to his own and the horses of A. B. Hancock, A. Baker will race some few of R. L. Bakers horses through the Wash* ington Park meeting. Others in the R. L. Baker stable will be shipped from here to Latonia to await the meeting at that Covington track. Charles Bacharachs Southland Stable, trained by Johnny Daniels, may lay up during the interim between the Downs and Latonia meetings. If so, Daniels will ship to Latonia a few days after the close here. A division of the J. B. Respess stable will be campaigned at Washington Park under the direction of C. H. Trotter, while a dozen others go from here to Latonia. Respess is i anxious to dispose of a number of the horses : he has in training. Jockey R. Cheatham left for Sportsman l Park, where he will fill several engagements I for W. C. Weant, returning here in a few days. The horses of George Collins and J. Graham Brown, trained by Tom Sanford, will be transferred to Washington Park late next week. Copies of the third and final program . book for the Churchill Downs meeting were i distributed today. Purse distribution during ; the six days covered by the book will be i the same as during the current week. John T. Ireland motored over from Lexington • for the afternoon. He goes to Cleveland for the Bainbridge Park meeting next : week.
