She is a bay daughter of Single i Foot and Geneva B., and made the trip from Douglas Park to Latonia with the four others that Troxler campaigned at the Louisville course. s R. W. Geisler will nominate Time to Fly r for the Latonia Oaks. The three-year-old t daughter of Flight of Time and Nancy Lane was turned out last winter and was placed In training this spring. Time to Fly is the , property of Joe Schorer. The filly is near racing, which was demonstrated Saturday morning when she traversed seven-eighths I over the heavy and holding track in 1:40. * Geisler states that she has been a mile in * 1:42. T. H. McCaffrey, Cincinnati sportsman, has three two-year-olds and the older horse, £ Tommy, at Latonia. In addition to the four s In his own barn, George Gould has Honey Hunter from him here, and F. F. Brant has j two two-year-olds at Washington Park. The two-year-olds here are a daughter of Big ] Blaze, a colt by Chilhowee and a colt by j Prince of Bourbon. Former jockey Charles Granneman has the plater Memorare at Latonia for A. Spare. Pat Ellis has the seven-year-old Golden ; Chestnut at Latonia. He is a brother to j Roguish Eye, a stakes winner for J. J. j Coughlin. . 1 W. H. Whitehouse was a visitor at his ] stable Saturday morning. Mr. Whitehouse j was accompanied by H. H. Temple, a nephew, who had three two-year-olds at Churchill Downs in charge of R. T. Runnels. G. E. "Jay" Lewie, part owner and trainer ] of the Bidwill and Lewis horses, was at the j track this morning after being confined to his apartment with illness for several days. Lewis stated that he had intended shipping j from Churchill Downs to Washington Park, but Tea Cracker injured a tendon in his last | race and, although, he at first thought it | was of a minor nature, the injury would keep j the horse away from the races for some time. Before leaving Louisville, Lewis placed the seven-year-old Arcturus in train- ] ing. He had been turned out at C. Bruce , Heads Waldeck Farm for the past year. Charles Bidwill, part owner of the stable, has four good yearlings at Waldeck Farm, ; according to Lewis and they are by Alta-wood. O. A. Boeckley returned from Bainbridge Park where he went to inspect his two-year-old Major Accident. F. Hartman has the three-year-old Gloria Diana and the two-year-old Emmeline H. at Latonia in charge of Eddie Kaiser. W. H. Whitehouses Royal Julian, the good son of Royal II. and Julia L., which was bred to three mares this spring, was returned to training this morning. He was vanned to the Latonia track from White-house Drive yesterday, and trainer Lon Johnson will prepare him for fall racing with the Latonia Cup as his chief objective. C. V. Whitneys Chimney Sweep, which came out of his last race at Churchill Downs lamed, arrived at Latonia today. He was accompanied by Whitneys Malaita and Mose Goldblatts Jimmy Moran. They were left at Churchill Downs when Goldblatt shipped the Whitney and Goldblatt hoises to Washington Park. George Raterman has Little Chip and the two-year-old Nurses Boy at Latonia. Nurses Boy is a son of Billy Brush and Nancy Jane. John Abrams has the mare Roxie Weidel at Latonia, and Loud Speaker is the lone horse G. P. Bronson has in training at the Milldale course. John Daniels, trainer of the Southland Stable, stated this morning that the two-year-old Penanink was much improved and that the injury was not as severe as believed to be Monday. The two-year-old Just Umber, in the stable of John J. Troxler, suffered a slight cut to her left hind leg when she ran away Sunday morning. The filly, after running off at the stable, ran out of a gate leading from the grounds. She was caught a mile from the track in the city of Latonia. Charles Nolte, track superintendent at Latonia, will head a large delegation of horsemen who will go from here to witness the Ohio State Derby at Bainbridge Park Saturday. Charles Hufnagle, an attache of the jockey room on the Kentucky tracks, was an arrival from Washington Park. George Korflage was an arrival from Louisville and goes from here to Bainbridge and Washington Park. He expects to return here for the Latonia meeting. J. P. Sallee arrived from Churchill Downs with eight horses, the property of Tom Carr Piatt and Thomas Piatt. For Tom Carr Piatt he has the Clipsetta Stakes eligibles, Dominant Miss and Blondelle. Dominant Miss won two races out of three starts and Is considered one of the best fillies to show during the Downs meeting. W. L. McCue arrived from Chicago with Leslie Combs, Jr.s Thunder Nymph and Chattahoochee, which races in his colors. W. C. Weants Wise Ann, a stakes winner ; during the Hialeah meeting, was nominated I for the Clipsetta Stakes. A long needed rain fell at Latonia i Wednesday morning and the downpour will 1 aid materially in putting the track in first-• class condition.
