BOATSWAIN TO CHICAGO HOMEWOOD, 111., June 2.— Word was received late today from trainer Preston t Burch that he is shipping Boatswain, crack son of Man o War, to Washington Park to ; compete in the rich American Derby to be decided June 18. Boatswain, which recently defeated Burgoo King and other good ones ; in the Withers Stakes at Belmont Park, will likely leave New York about the middle of next week. Boatswain is owned by Walter M. Jeffords.
