j 1 ; . . , $ e F ARLINGTON PARK NOTES | $, $ Bronx Park and Timorous, two juveniles purchased out of the Dorwood Stable dispersal at Belmont Park a week ago by Bennett Creech and sent to Chicago to be trained by Burley Parke, have been entered in stakes which closed June 1 by the Arlington Park Jockey Club. Bronx Park, a three- * time winner this spring and which cost ,100, was entered in the Gold Coast, River Forest, Lake Villa, Wilmette, Lake Forest and Highland Park, while the filly Timorous, a ,700 buy, although a sister to Chestnut Oak and Mountain Elk, was nominated for the Winnetka and Geneva Stakes. ! Other Creech nominations for the twenty-one Arlington stakes closed Wednesday were Dr. Freeland for the Arlington Inaugural Handicap and North Shore Handicap and Whipper Cracker for the Lake Shore, Ravinia and Lake View. Dr. Freeland also is an eligible for the Stars and Stripes and Arlington Handicap. John Partridge, who developed Burning Blaze for the Nash Brothers, but who re- tired during the past winter because of ill health only to return to racing recently by claiming Crystal Prince and buying four juveniles from J. E. Widener, has entered the well known Prince of Bourbon gelding in the Garfield, Oak Park, Dundee and Glen-coe, four of the twenty-one Arlington Park stakes closing June 1. — «
