i WHITE CLOVER II. IN | ARLINGTON STAKES i • His conclusive triumph in the historic Suburban Handicap on Memorial Day marking him as one of the countrys outstanding race horses, White Clover II. will be sent after further conquests with an invasion of Arlington Park here next month. The imported six-year-old gelding of the Foxcatch-er Farms Stable, which represents the du Ponts of Delaware, is among the foremost candidates for the Stars and Stripes and Arlington Handicaps and Arlington Gold Cup, each a 0,000 added event. The Suburban was White Clovers first important victory and climaxed his American career, which he began last August at Saratoga as a selling plater. However, he had given eastern racing fans convincing samples of his ability last fall, when he completed his season by racing Mate to a neck in the Thanksgiving Handicap and Dr. Free-land to a head in the Southern Maryland Handicap, both Bowie features. Among those he defeated in the latter event were Mate, Valenciennes, Tred Avon, Sidney Grant and Pittsburgher, while behind him in the Thanksgiving Handicap were Dr. Freeland, Sidney Grant, Valenciennes and others.
