1 WASHINGTON PARK NOTES I $ Trainer F. Swain, who is attempting to bring back the veteran Windy City, an American Derby winner, and Chicagt , at one time one of the best handicap performers in the West, breezed them five furlongs in company this morning. They were timed in 1:05. Gallant Knight, among the leading candidates for the Francis S. Peabody Memorial Handicap, to be renewed at Washington Park a week from tomorrow, worked the mile and one-quarter distance of that engagement in 2:06 handily at the local course this morning. He ran the half mile in :48, three-quarters in 1:13, and the mile in 1:39. Karl Eitel, also pointing for the Peabody Memorial, covered a mile in 1:45 well in hand.
