STEPENFETCHIT saved ground on the back stretch to reach contention, but tired badly in the final drive. ADOBE POST could not keep up. SUNMELUS began slowly; raced into contention in the first half mile, but tired and was floundering at the finish. The others were never dangerous. BLUE LAW was best and moved up resolutely on the outside near the far turn, took command, but raced to the outside fence on the stretch turn and continued well. CHUM raced well. RUANE closed a gap in the last quarter. BIG BUSINESS and TACK were outrun. ESTIN tired.
