EASTER DANDY, away slowly, was sent into a good lead, but weakened slightly inside the last eighth when placed under punishment. DAN McCRIMMON was always outrun. SEA KALE was never prominent. The latter, restrained off the pace, moved into contention after racing three-eighths and held on stub bornly in the drive. COSMOS moved up fast leaving the back stretch and held on well at the end. SPECjf TACULAR closed an immense gap. GOLDEN PLAY was knocked back badly after reaching the half-mil ground.
