. ; . AUSTRALIAN RIDES IN ENGLAND News from England states that Georgai Duller, whose principal patron is the American sportsman Victor Emanuel, has engaged the Australian lightweight jockey, Ben Rosen, to ride for his stable next season Rosen, a successful rider in his native land also in India, came to France at the open ing of the racing season to ride for C. Vol-terra. With the permission of his French employer, Rosen made a few flying visits to England, and of the six mounts he has had-in John Bulls island, three were winners. He piloted Victor Emanuels good three-year-old colt, Totaig, to victory in the Royal Hunt Cup at Ascot and the Lingfield Park Plate at Lingfield, and was also astride Sir Alfred Butts Perfect Knight when that horse won the Molyneux Cup at Liverpool last month. Rosen, credited with having a perfect seat and hand, can ride at ninety-. eight pounds without reducing. He should be a valuable asset to British racing, where there is such a dearth of good lightweight jockeys at present.
