FAIRENO IN FAST WORK SARATOGA SPRINGS, N. Y., Aug. 20. Faireno received his final New York prep for his Hawthorne Gold Cup engagement when he was worked out a mile and a quarter after the running of the first race. His fractional time for the trial was :23, :47, 1:13, 1:39, 1:53 and 2:07. A few minutes later the Greentree Stables St. Brideaux went along a smart three-quarters in 1:13.
