r WOODBINE TURF NOTES $ The thoroughbreds that John Bosley, Jr., and Willie Booth have been campaigning at Woodbine were shipped to Laurel at the conclusion of the Ontario Jockey Club meeting. The Queen City Stable will campaign the jumper, Battle of Killiecrankie, during the Maryland fall season. J. J. Farrell, popular official of the Canadian Racing Associations, left for his home in Woodstock, Ont., after the running of the last race at Woodbine. J. C. Campbell, racing secretary at Woodbine, departed for Baltimore Saturday night to be on hand at Laurel for opening day. Dave Davis, popular member of starter Marshall Cassidys crew, departed Sunday morning for Tanforan by motor. Jockey Frank Madeleys contract with J. C. Fletcher expired with the running of the final days racing at Woodbine. Jockey Eddie Legeres contract as rider for the Seagram Stable expired Saturday. He will ride free lance during the Long Branch meeting. He has been retained to ride King OConnor in the Kings Plate next spring for the Seagram Stable. The late John "Jack" Hare, long a well known figure in Canadian and Havana racing affairs has been honored by the erecting of a memorial gate at Long Branch which has been christened the John Hare Memorial gate. Word was received from Winnipeg that jockey J. Mulrooney, who was injured in a fall at the Whittier Park meeting, is improving steadily and will soon be able to leaVe the hospital. Starter T. Rowe will be at Woodbine each morning after the close of the meeting to enable owners to educate their yearlings from the barrier. Judge David Boyle, well-known Canadian Racing Associations official, will join the official family at Long Branch. Mr. Orpen is to be complimented on his obtaining such a capable official as Mr. Boyle. Curtain Call, Beckie B., Truces Maid, Lou Panga, Chaste Morn, Foxy Bella and Easter Dandy, by their- bad behavior at the post Thursday, were placed on starter Cassidys schooling list. c
