GENERAL LEJEUNE, avoiding interference going to the first turn, reached the leaders gradually on the back stretch, took a clear lead, but had be to strongly ridden in the stretch to outlast TINGE. The latter, well placed early, moved up strongly entering the stretch, but tired. MEETING PLACE, taken back off the. pace, saved ground and came again in the stretch. SHAUN PADRAIC, a factor for five-eighths, tired under a drive. RICKS, caught in a bad jam going to tho first turn, showed a good performance. MOCKER began to sulk soon after the start.
