McCUAN CASE TO ASSOCIATION Governing Body of Illinois to Rule on Matter Jockey Cunningham Is Also Involved. LATONIA, Ky., Nov. 7. The case of Edward McCuan and L. J. Cunningham, jockey, who were suspended by the Fairmount Park stewards pending investigation of the races run by Sobieha during the recent meeting at that track, will be laid before the Illinois Turf Association at a special meeting of that turf governing body in Chicago on November 15. Several days ago McCuan received permission from J. T. Ireland and J. G. Reeder, Fairmount Park stewards, to dispose of any or all of his horses by private or public, sale and he today reported the sale of the veteran plater Herb Ashby to W. W. Finn. Pending disposition of his case by the Illinois Turf Association McCuan will keep the remainder of his horses intact. He has Sobieha, Flag Bearer, Commandman, gler, Issued, Jack Collins, Brooksie, Essie, Kinnear, Germaine Chauvelot, Bad Axe, Sun Worship, My Beauty, Benedict and five yearlings in training at Fairmount Park, from where Herb Ashby will be shipped to Finn at New Orleans.
