LUCKITE, well ridden and, racing close to the leaders, took command at the tenth fence, was steadied to his fences thereafter and was never in serious danger. SHYLOCK, saved for a mile, challenged repeatedly in the late stages and outlasted SIR SWEEP in a hard drive. SIR SWEEP moved up resolutely going to the twelfth jump, but tired on the flat after the last fence. STEFAN JR. was unable to enter contention at any stage. DEGAS raced gamely for a turn of the field. SILVERSKIN appeared sore and would not extend himself at any stage. FORBIS fell at the eighth jump. TINGE, taken to the outside on the back stretch, entered contention, but was kept on the inside in the stretch. MERRY MACK and SINGLE A. raced evenly. GRAND ACRE was outrun. BATTERING RAM, rated in front and saving much ground, held on gamely. WARD-IN-CHANCERY tired near the end. TOREALONG, allowed to drop far out of it, finished resolutely, along with LITTLE STOKES.
