DESTROY GELDING CHIP LATONIA, Ky., Nov. 7. The six-year-old gelding Chip, owned by Carpenter and Mosco-vitz, was destroyed here Sunday morning. A scratch suffered several weeks ago led to such an infected right hind leg from the hock down, that he had no chance to recover. As a three-year-old and the property of Mrs. E. L. Swikard, Chip started in the Kentucky Derby.
