McKENNEY SUCCEEDS MURPHY SAN BRUNO, Calif., May 12.— While Jack P. Atkin, who will take over the Tan-foran reins May 25 for an early summer meeting, has not as yet announced his official family, it is almost certain that those remaining on the grounds will be employed. With judge Joseph A. Murphy leaving for Chicago May 21, Floyd McKenney, prominent San Francisco official and at present one of the stewards, will take over the responsible position of senior steward, while it is possible that W. Quigley and Sam Rothert, present racing secretary, also may be stewards at the Atkin meeting.
