I JAMAICA TURF NOTES | • • Roy Waldron ships twelve horses to Thorncliffe Park, Toronto, on Monday. Joseph E. Widener was a Belmont Park visitor yesterday and inspected the horses that Henry McDaniels has in training for him. Pete Walls has cancelled his visit to Pimlico to ride Mr. Khayyam in the Preakness. A. Robertson left for Baltimore to ride Head Play. Jockeys R. Leischman and Donald Lyons arrived from Maryland and will accept mounts here. Jockey Mills left for Pimlico to ride De Valera, while Gilbert will ride Utopian. Jockey T. Malley resumed riding following a one-day layoff. James Fitzsimmons and his son Harvey left to saddle the Wheatley Stable starter In the Preakness. Slapdash, Enthusiast and Stomer were returned to Aqueduct from Havre de Grace. Jockey Pete Walls has refused an offer to ride in the Kings Plate at Toronto due to other engagements. Tommy Maher received word that Milo Shields was shipping his stable here the latter part of the week. M. Cassidys Universe was breezed an easy mile over the Jamaica track Thursday morning. The four-year-old was timed in 1:49 and came out of the trial in good condition. Through a misunderstanding, O. F. Woodwards Coflier was omitted from the entries received for the Youthful Stakes, making forty entries received.
