SPERO, away fast, saved ground, went to the outside of the winner in the stretch, impeding POMPEIA and was gaining on the winner. POMPEIA, close up, was closing strongly when impeded. JESSIE COPPAGE closed a gap. MISS CARROLLTON, in close quarters on the first turn, did not recover. HUKILL had no mishaps. LA MANGA propped at the start. Scratched— 77541 Thistle Joe, 107.
