LABR0T LEADS BOWIE OWNERS Maryland Turfmans Horses Win ,360 During Eleven-Day Meet. Larranaga Scores in Decoration Day Handicap to Head Money Winning Horses Munden Leader. The Southern Maryland Agricultural Association, operating the Bowie Track, distributed 0,790 during its eleven-day meeting from May 18 to May 30, during which time seventy-two races were run. The daily average distribution was ,435.45. Sylvester Labrot, Maryland owner, was the leading money winner when his horses scored six times and finished second and third in numerous other races to earn ,360. C. V. Whitneys colorbearers were as often first as those of Labrot, but they did not account for as many minor portions of. purses and finished the meeting with earnings of ,700. Larranaga, winner of the Cuban Grand National Handicap in Cuba during the winter, won the Decoration Day Handicap, the most valuable prize on the Bowie list of prizes, and headed the money winning horses with ,370. Indian Runner, winner of three races, finished ahead of such stars as Trcd Avon and Wise Daughter with ,450. F. Munden piloted eleven of hi3 forty-two mounts to victory and took the honors in the riding brigade. E. Steffen, with seven winners, was second? and Johnny Gilbert was third with six. J. A.
