SAD KNIGHT, close up from the start, saved ground all the way and held on gamely. SIS AGNES, steadied close to the pace for half a mile, could not reach the leaders when hard urged. AXTEL began slowly. KIBITZER did not threaten. LADYKIN, fractious at the post, where she was placed on the outside, began slowly. AT TOP, far out of it for five-eighths, went to the outside in the stretch and closed strongly. LATE DATE saved much ground and came again in the stretch. The latter bore over sharply at the frist turn, saved much ground entering the stretch and was wearing down the winner. HABANERO suffered sharp interference at the first turn, was rushed to contention when clear and weakened in the final drive. OLAMAY could riot get up. TOTEM weakened when hard urged and was bearing out much of the trip. WAR PLANE sulked. NAVANOD unseated his rider and ran away seven-eighths before the start.
