BURIAL OF JOHN SCHANK Funeral services for John Charles Schank, president of the Chicago Business Mens Racing Association and nationally known turf figure and sportsman, who died suddenly at his Chicago home were held Thursday afternoon from the late residence, 6720 Oglesby avenue. The services at the home was followed by rites at the Salem Evangelical church and turial was in Oakwood cemetery. Hundreds of his friends attended the services and scores upon scores of telegrams and floral pieces received at the home amplified the popularity of the beloved sportsman. Floral designs were so numerous that space in the home was inadequate. Among the active pallbearers were: James Levy, R. M. Birck, Charles Freiberg, W. R. Scott, Thomas McHale and Charles Krutckoff.
