TWASHINGTON PARK NOTES ! $ s George Ogle arrived at Lincoln Fields Thursday morning from Bowie with a stable of eight. In previous years the popular green and white colors of the Ogle stable have played a prominent part in Chicago racing and, with the good handicap performer Indian Runner and others carrying them, they probably will again play an important role in this seasons racing. R. E. Potts unloaded Swinhaven, Mr. Swift and Unencumbered, which race for P. A. Markey, Detroit owner, and Ladfield, the property of Mrs. C. Crane. The quartet from Bowie were stabled at Lincoln Fields. J. Holub transferred Bob Weidel from Sportsmans Park and turned him over to George Henze to train. J. Fred Adams notified Washington Park officials that he was shipping six horses from Bowie to Lincoln Fields. John O. Whitlow arrived from Lexington and took over the four-year-old Golden J Spray to train. Col. Phil T. Chinn will arrive from Lexington Friday and will arrange with O. L. Foster regarding the training of the four horses he shipped to Foster from Louisville. Roy Carruthers, general manager of Arlington Park, was a visitor, but with many of the Arlington Park stakes closing Saturday, he had little chance to enjoy the sport. "All the best horses in the country is our goal for the stakes," Mr. Carruthers said. Jack Howard had out the unbeaten three-year-old filly, Advising Anna, owned by Mrs. Howard, and worked her three-eighths in the fast time of :34 handily, at Washing ton Park this morning. The Nut, the Warm Stables candidate for the Peabody Memorial Handicap, to be run at Lincoln Fields, breezed a mile in 1:43 at the same track this morning; Mayor Edward J. Kelly, of Chicago, will make an effort to witness the running of the American Derby at Washington Park, Saturday. C. W. Hay, general manager of the track, has invited the mayor and other officials for the day.
