1 BELMONT PARK NOTES I e $ Matt Brady left for Chicago to supervise the final preparation of Mr. Khayyam for the American Derby. During his absence the horses starting here for the Catawba Farm Stable will be saddled by Tommy JRod-rck. Jockey J. Bejshalc arrived from Bowie and accepted mounts. L. "Buddy" Ensor accepted his first mount of the season astride Salve in the first race Thursday. Jockey George Rose left for Montreal, where he will resume riding at that point. Dave Withers has taken over the engagement book of the western rider M. Lewis, under contract to the Coldstream Stud. James Butlers Questionnaire will be kept at Empire City until Friday morning, when he will be vanned here. Jockey J. Gilbert left for Chicago, where he will ride Charley O. in the .American Derby. He will return here to ride on Monday. Barney Pate, agent for the Glen Riddle stable, . entered the Mercy Hospital for a throat operation. Tom Hayes wired to Charlie Kurtsinger to come to Chicago to ride Head Play in the American Derby. Owner Ryan, to whom Kurtsinger is under contract, granted him permission and he will leave Friday.
