PASS SHOT, away in a tangle, was straightened cut quickly and, reaching contention, moved up on the outside of KIEVA midway of the turn, opened up a winning lead in the stretch and drew out steadily. BEAU KILRANE, prominent all the way, finished gamely. BUNGLE finished gamely. SAUNTER, in close quarters on the turn, tired after saving ground in the stretch. MAYRING was unable to menace the leaders. KIEVA was unable to keep pace when overtaken. SVELTE quit. SPUR ON and GLEN LILY had no chance after the start. The latter, in close quarters after the start, worked his way up on the outside when clear and finished fast. CHARLIE raced PRINCETON into defeat and hold on well. UPPITY did not threaten the leaders. HIGHEST POINT, pinched back early, could not reach the leaders. BLIGHTER had a rough race. VACILLATE, in close quarters on the inside of PROTRACTOR, came through in the stretch and fought it out gamely. HELL DIVER was making up ground steadily in the late stages. BATTLE PLANE, rushed into a long lead, continued gamely after being displaced and outlasted HELP YOURSELF. The latter, remaining off the early pace, slipped through on the inside when making his run and was gradually wearing the winner down. FAIR DAWN, a stout factor from the beginning, continued stoutly under severe punishment. GLEE CLUB, well placed early, faltered when the real test came. GAY PARISIAN, allowed to settle in his best stride, could not better his position when called on. The others were outrun all the way. Overweight Fair Judge, 3 pounds.
