SUN TEATIME showed good speed, saved ground and, holding on well, only gave way in the final fifty yards. BARRY closed well on the outside. LADYKIN, fractious at the post, began slowly. ALLENS tired. VERY WELL, in hand early and slightly shuffled back near the stretch closed strongly when clear. PROSE AND POETRY, away slowly and on the extreme outside after a quarter! worked his way up steadily after three-eighths and was wearing down the leaders. ESKIMO, blocked on the stretch turn and probably best, closed a gap fast when clear and finished fastest. JOHN MILL came through on the inside entering the stretch. UFORME, jostled about on the stretch turn, rallied mildly in the final eighth. SINGLE STRIPE quit. JUSTICE B. was done after half a mile. Scratched 84131 Printemps. 103. RUSH HOUR, sore, rallied mildlyyn the stretch turn, but tired under his impost. BOILERMAKER began well, but the saddle slipped beiure he reached the turn and his rider was lucky to escape falling.
