MORESORIS held on well after being close up. HEREWARD, shuffled back early, closed gamely. MAYCO had a rough race. DOROTHY ALICE raced well. FREE, working his way up on the outside, closed fast. DONATE, forced to race on the outside, met early interference, but closed gamely when clear. CHANSON BELLE showed good form. STEEL raced forwardly, but was not good enough. CAGEY finished gamely. SERVING LAD saved ground throughout. TRANSPOSE was taken very wide throughout and had no mishaps. STIMBLE tired. EASTER DANDY, restrained early, tired steadily under punishment in the last quarter. MR. GAIETY, slow to get going, came through on the inside entering the stretch and closed fastest of all. PHANTASIME, prominent early, went into the lead with a rush at the final turn, but faltered in the final test. TRYON, close up from the start, held on well approaching the finish. MEMPHIS LASS could not threaten the leaders. SABINA H. raced on the. outside all the way. FAIR AVIS, away poorly when blocked at the start, closed a good gap on the inside. COTTON TIME quit. BYLONA wore down MERIDIAN QUEEN, but could not withstand the winner. MERIDIAN QUEEN, rated in front, continued gamely. ATHOL raced close up and finished gamely. JUST FUN saved much ground, but tired.
