HEAD PLAY OUT FOR YEAR LEXINGTON, Ky., July 28. Head Play, which has lost something of his reputation through repeated defeats since his victbry iri the Preakness, arrived here today and was taken t Silas B. Masons Dunreath Farm. He is not to be raced again this year. Sonfe explanation for Head Plays recent failure was given when Dr. Frank C. Beller made an X-ray picture of the colts off forefoot and discovered that the pedal bone was broken. The foot will be kept in clay packs for four or five weeks, during which time Head Play will have only walking exercises. Then another X-ray examination will be made and if the bone has knitted, Mrs. Masons star racer will be turned out for the remainder of the year "and taken up for further racing next spring. 1
