LONG BRANCH TURF NOTES Many expressions of regret were voiced at Long Branch when it was learned that Charles Kean one of the old guard of horse ¬ men was ill at his home in Toronto Mr Kean will be remembered as having cam ¬ paigned the good horses Havrock Capar Sauce and Chemulpo some years ago Listaro agoListaro is reported as coughing and was excused from starting in the opening race Tuesday TuesdayW W G Kelley will remain at Long Branch while the Dufferin meeting is in progress to take entries from horsemen quartered at the suburban course courseTrainer Trainer J Boniface reports that he will send several members of the R H Heighe string to take part in the Dufferin Park meeting while he is shipping the main divi ¬ sion to take part in the Rockingham Park racing racingJockeys Jockeys G McCann and R Townrow re ¬ turned from Montreal where they have been riding meetingFrank at the Blue Bonnets meeting Frank Russell arrived from Montreal to gather additional members to campaign on the Quebec circuit He is taking Masque Mar and Imadandy to join the string he has already quartered at Blue Bonnets
