PROTRACTOR SCORES AGAIN Veteran Tetrameter Gelding Victori ¬ ous in Queens Hotel Trophy at Blue Bonnets MONTREAL Que June 12 J U Grat tons Protractor aged son of Tetrameter and St Ina well ridden by E Jelly ac ¬ counted for the principal event on the ninth days program of the Blue Bonnets meeting the Queens Hotel Trophy W C Morris supplied the placed horse in Judge Primrose while Steponit racing for L Surprenant was third thirdA A good crowd was in attendance with the weather somewhat cooler The track al ¬ though slow was drying out fast fastIn In the Queens Hotel Trophy there was a long delay caused by the unruly actions of Magna Mater and Judge Primrose but starter Richey sent them away in good alignment Protractor outbroke his opponents at the start and took the lead at once closely followed by Colored Artist In the run down the back stretch Protractor and Colored Artist were practically on even terms On the turn the Tetrameter gelding drew away into a length lead Entering the stretch Jelly came to the outside in the faster going and had a twolength advan ¬ tage at the end Judge Primrose came through on the inside in the stretch sav ¬ ing much ground but barely lasted to stall off the closing rush of Steponit which came with a rush on the outside in the stretch
