NEW PADDOCK AT HAWTHORNE Open Air Affair in Centerfield Done Away With New Barns Replace Those Burned One of the major changes already com ¬ pleted at Hawthorne where preparations for the Chicago Business Mens Racing Associations meeting which follows Arling ¬ ton Park are well advanced is the abolition of the infield or open air paddock Begin ¬ ning with the forthcoming meeting a new paddock situated under the grandstand at the clubhouse end so arranged that sev ¬ eral thousand patrons may obtain a closeup of the horses while they are being saddled will be used usedThe The old paddock at the east end of the grandstand which was used during wet weather as the infield paddock offered no protection from rain also is to be done away with Work on the new stables replacing those destroyed by fire last year was completed several weeks ago
