« ] , j , i 1 ARLINGTON PARK NOTES | ® Apprentice Dale Edwards, under contract to Ike Seybold, is an arrival from Fair-mount, where he displayed capable riding ability and was among the leading riders during that meeting. The youngster, who is sixteen years old, hails from King Fisher, Okla., and has won over thirty races since April 26, on which day he rode his first winner. Among the arrivals from Latonia were Jesse Spencer, who brought Prince Doo, Sky Lad and Sleek. Judd Aft, popular agent for the Joseph E. Widener stable and jockey W. D. Wright, is the proud father of a seven-pound boy, born Sunday morning. Mother and son are doing nicely. Dr. E. W. Haggard, prominent veterinarian from Lexington, Ky., is an arrival and will remain for about a week before returning to his home. Jewel Cochran, daughter of P. Cochran, is an arrival from Anniston, Ala., and will stay for the remainder of the Arlington Park meeting. Cochran is racing the four-year-old Polly E. and the aged gelding Crowned Head. To augment the riding colony here, apprentices Paul Clelland and G. Hardy checked in from Latonia, while Willie Root came on from Fairmount. E. J. Bejshak, who will ride Discovery in the Arlington Classic, is an arrival from New York. Apprentice Jimmy King, who incurred the displeasure of the stewards for crossing his field too sharply last week, served his suspension and resumed riding Monday, having assignments on Hot Flash, Donna Bettina and Chief Pilot R. "Sonny" Workman returned to New York. Jockey Don Meade has been engaged to ride E. G. Shaffers St. Bernard in the rich Arlington Park Futurity. A
