1 FAIRMOUNT PARK NOTES 1 $ — ® E. E. Major vanned four to Chicago and sent Overshoes and Dessner to his farm at Fort Scott, Mo. Overshoes broke a bone in his foot here and Major expects the injured member to heal for winter racing. J. Z. Sharpe is resting Animator, Carvel Hall and Daisy Cutter and expects to leave for Dade Park in two weeks. J. P. McGovern is another going to Dade Park. He will have Mt. Washington, Santa Cruz, Ruth Jelinek, Benefit and an unnamed three-year-old to sport his silks. He is resting his charges and will leave in about ten days for the Henderson, Ky., course. R. A. Leigh, Sr., who will act as racing secretary at Bainbridge, left for that course, as well as his son, Rollie, who is attached to the secretarys office. Charles Campau, one of the placing judges, and William Snyder, who will do the starting the first day, also left for the Cleveland track. John T. Ireland, who served as presiding steward, will spend several days at his farm at Paris, Ky., before taking up his duties at Bainbridge. W. W. Land purchased Strong Bow from R. Bracy and shipped the horse to Galveston. J. OSullivan vanned Ma and Oh Yeah to Hawthorne Saturday. OSullivan shipped Crash to Bainbridge in charge of J. M. Hubbard. In the same van was Mrs. L. C. Bonds Canteron. J. L. Rizer, Fort Worth, Texas, sportsman, purchased Judge Murphy from E. Smith and Alto from J. OSullivan Friday. The horses were turned over to E. J. Looper to train. Renounce, another trained by Looper, will be sent to Detroit along with the new purchases in a few days. A mixed car consisting of five horses left by freight Saturday for Galveston. Miss M. Evans Equation, War Dimes and Dave Mearns and D. Soddards Vin Noir left by van for Hawthorne. The twelve head in charge of J. G. Brown, which race for the Old Gold Stable, were vanned to Dade Park Saturday morning. Brown originally planned shipping to Duf-ferin Park. R. S. Eddy, Jr., general manager of Fair-mount Park, left for Syracuse to spend a few days before going to Bainbridge, where he serves as one of the stewards. *
