COMMANDANT moved up gradually and, responding gamely to punishment, won in the final strides under a powerful ride. MONEDY, slow to get going, closed fast in the drive, but bore out badly in the stretch was unlucky to lose. BOSSIE EYE, in close quarters early, gained steadily when clear and closed gamely. Jnd ORO BLUE had no mishaps. BRILLIANT QUEEN showed good speed to the stretch, then tired. BYRDINE jivas outrun. HOT FLASH had early speed. JEWELRY failed to be a factor under strong pressure. SETH POLANTE raced into the lead at once and, continuing gamely to the final eighth, bore out badly, forcing JASCHA wide, for which he was was disqualified. LADY LA MARNE began slowly, saved ground when moving up and closed gamely. JASCHA, a keen factor to the stretch, could not keep up after being impeded. COLD STEEL closed a big gap.
