BELL MAN, fractious at the start, was outrun ior three-eighths, then moved up and finished boldly. GERTRUDE S. closed a gap in the stretch. LIGHT ECHO was not a factor. IMPERIAL JACK was outrun for three-eighths, saved ground entering the stretch and finished boldly. JAKE BLIEDEN, fractious at the start, set the early pace, but tired in the drive. JIM X. had no mishaps. MISS ANGELO showed early speed. MERRY GO ROUND, fractious in the paddock and on the way to the post, began well and tired in the drive. The latter, never far back and saved, responded when called on, took command after entering the stretch, but failed to withstand the winner. FRUMPER, in close quarters while improving his position, closed a big gap after finding room in the drive. ELECTRIC GAFF, a strong factor from the start, weakened in the drive. LOTTA AIRS quit.
