CAMPAGNA, taken to the lead at once, set the pace under clever rating, drew out in the stretch and won in hand. PRINCE TORCH, prominent throughout, maintained a forward position under occasional pressure, gave ground gradually after a half mile, then finished resolutely. NIGHTS END, forced wide soon after the start, lost ground thereafter and held on evenly in the drive. PAUL T. had no excuse. Oveiweight Prince Torch, 1 pound; Nights End, 2j. SIR KOSTER, sent to the front early, continued with good speed while setting the pace and had to be roused briskly in the final strides to outfinish GOLDEN X. The latter, a strong factor throughout, closed strongly in the stretch and was getting to the winner. SOUTHLAND LAD began fast, but lacked speed gained fast after a half mile and finished strongly. LADY OLDHAM closed a big gap. STOCK MARKET could not keep up. DONNA BETTINA was outrun. TWIDGETS showed nothing. Scratched 08603 Daisy Cutter, 107; 08603 Tenant, 107.
