GOLDEN MILLER LOSES RIDER Special Cablegram. LIVERPOOL, England, March 30. For the second time in two days, Miss Dorothy Pagets Golden Miller and jockey Gerald Wilson were unable to complete a steeplechase course. Yesterday Wilson was thrown from the saddle in the running of the Grand National, when his mount bade fair to win the worlds premier jumping event for the second consecutive time. Wilson came a cropper at the jump after Valentines Brook on the first round of the four-mile, 856-yard course. Today Wilson rode Golden Miller in the three-mile champion steeplechase at Ain-tree and again he and his mount parted company. Golden Miller struck the top of the first fence, and Wilson was hurled from the saddle. John Hay Whitneys Double Crossed, which was withdrawn from the Grand National, won the Champion Steeplechase. Eric Piatts Star Shell was second, and Capt. C. A. Cartwrights St. Tewdric was third. Golden Miller was the even-money favorite.
